Degree verification and recognition services by country
This directory lists services that confirm a degree or the status of the institution that awarded it. Some check the award itself, such as HEDD in the UK, which needs the graduate's consent 1. Others check whether a body can award degrees, such as the Office for Students Register in England 6. In the UK only Recognised Bodies can award UK degrees 7. For foreign degrees, ENIC-NARIC centres give recognition information 5.

Notes
- A listing shows whether a body can award degrees. It does not confirm that a named person received an award. HEDD checks the award itself, with consent 1.
